Upcoming Expansion and Pre-Release Strategies
The Mega Evolution—Pitch Black expansion is part of the ongoing Pokémon TCG cycle, introducing new mechanics centered around Mega Evolution and powerful Legendary Pokémon like Miraidon. Traditionally, Pokémon TCG releases are accompanied by Prerelease events, which generate buzz and allow players to test new cards in a limited environment. The upcoming early sales and events continue this tradition, providing a strategic advantage for players who participate early.
Previous expansions have seen similar early releases, often through special boxes or online codes. The inclusion of exclusive promo cards in the Build & Battle Boxes is standard practice, designed to incentivize participation and collectability. The expansion’s focus on new Mega Evolution mechanics aims to refresh gameplay and introduce new competitive dynamics.
